West Chesterfield Democrats Inaguration Event!

The Chesterfield Democratic Committee requests the honor of your presence to celebrate the Inauguration of Barack H. Obamaas President of the United States of America Tuesday, January 20th at 6:30 pm,at the Riverside Hotel in Chesterfield

Did you miss the ceremony at noon? (Some people do have to work, after all!) See the replay Tuesday evening. Why go all the way to Washington when you can join your friends right here in town, share pot-luck food, watch a DVD of the speech and parade, and news reports of the festivities straight from Washington? Dance with the President and First Lady (on the big TV screens right over your heads)! We have reserved the breakfast room at Pierre Saba's new hotel beside the Rte 9 arch bridge over the Connecticut for this historic event.
DETAILS:
• WHERE - The Riverside Hotel is on the Connecticut River just behind the West Chesterfield Post Office, state liquor store, etc. It's beautifully designed, and this is a good chance to look around. Phone 603/256-4200.• FOOD - We'll bring paper dishes and utensils, and some finger foods. If you can bring something to share, from soup to nuts, please do, but don't stay away if you can't get it together. There will be enough for all. BYO beverage. The hotel has just opened, and has no liquor license or restaurant at this time.• ENTERTAINMENT - The networks will all be covering all the DC balls and festivities. We will have a DVD of the noon-time speech and following parades. Three flat-screen TV's will broadcast the real-time historic event in the evening. • TIME - We'll be there about 6PM setting things up. Come any time, leave when you want.• WHO - All are welcome. Children who were interested in the election may want to join us to see history in the making. • DRESS - Blue jeans to ball gowns, black tie optional - but dress warm! This is still Chesterfield, after all.
RSVP to this message if you have any interest, just so we can get a sense of numbers, but come anyway if you can. Call Tim and Kay at 363-8076 if you have any questions.
